DOT: The Truckers are Playing a Heroic Role in Helping America

Elaine L. Chao, the Secretary of Transportation of the U.S. Department of Transportation, expressed gratitude to the country’s logistics sector.

During the COVID-19 crisis, the industry provided much-needed support to the communities, from offering reliable transportation and providing needed medical personnel and supplies.

Before, Mrs. Chao said that “Truckers are playing a heroic role in helping America cope during this crisis—and truckers will be a critical part in helping our economy recover once this crisis is past us.”

The Department is grateful for the service and is doing everything to support the logistics industry.
