FMCSA Listening on Brokers

FMCSA stated that it plans to conduct a listening on property carrier brokers. The online event will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm EDT. The agency wants to hear as many opinions as possible from public members, so it encourages people with entirely different views and work experience.

The FMCSA will also discuss three petitions related to complaints about the activities of brokers and consider the public opinion on the regulation of this issue. Within the event framework, questions regarding the financial responsibility of a broker or a forwarder will not be considered. Listening will be carried out in the videoconference format. Anyone who wishes to participate in the discussion of the above issues will be able to join it.

A link to this event will appear soon and will be emailed to all registered attendees.

To request additional information and ask questions on the above topics, please contact, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE., Washington, DC 20590-0001.
